Original Texas Paintings and Hand-Painted Decor Art
Every painting in our San Antonio gallery is painted by hand. The collection falls into two groups: original Texas and Hill Country paintings by Thomas Butler, the gallery's owner, and hand-painted decor art by various artists for homes and offices. Both are on the wall and for sale.
Original Texas and Hill Country Paintings
Original paintings by Thomas Butler, the gallery's owner, with Texas and Hill Country themes: bluebonnet fields at sunset, windmills, weathered barns, live oaks and winding ranch roads. Originals are priced from $1,200 to $3,000. If you are looking for original paintings for sale in San Antonio with a true Texas subject, start here.
Hand-Painted Decor Art
Most of the gallery is decor art: paintings made by hand, by various artists, and chosen to bring color and character to a room. Subjects range from wildlife and garden scenes to Tuscany landscapes, sailing ships and bold modern abstracts, from small accent pieces to large statement paintings. Decor paintings are sold as unframed canvases and start at $20.
How to Choose a Painting for Your Wall
Measure the wall first. A painting usually looks best when it spans about two thirds of the sofa, bed or table below it.
Pick up a color from the room. Look for a painting that repeats one or two colors already in your rug, pillows or curtains.
See it in person. Texture, brushwork and true color only show up close, so visit the gallery before you decide.
