The Frame Gallery is a local picture frame shop at 5563 De Zavala Rd, Ste 190, on the north side of San Antonio near UTSA. We have been framing for San Antonio homes and offices since 1984.
Everything is designed with you at the counter and made here in our shop: custom picture framing, framed mirrors, shadow boxes, photo and canvas printing, canvas stretching and ready-made frames. We also sell hundreds of hand-painted paintings.
Design help is free and you do not need an appointment. Customers come to us from all over San Antonio, including Helotes, Boerne, Stone Oak, Leon Springs and the Medical Center.

Most people find us for custom framing, but our frame shop does a lot more than frame pictures. We build framed mirrors, print photos and canvas, stretch paintings, build shadow boxes and sell hand-painted art. It is all done here on De Zavala Rd, so you work with one shop from start to finish.

Meet Kelley Butler Owner & Frame Designer
Kelley Butler, owner of The Frame Gallery, has designed frames for more than 20 years and works the design counter herself. The person helping you choose a mat, moulding and glass has seen thousands of pieces come through the shop.
Bring in a diploma, a jersey, a painting or something one-of-a-kind, and you will work out the design with her in person. That hands-on approach is why customers mention her by name in their reviews.

Custom picture framing is the heart of our San Antonio frame shop. Bring in a print, a photo, a painting or a keepsake, and our picture framers will lay it on the counter and work out the frame, the mat and the glass with you. Design help is free and you do not need an appointment.
You do not have to spend a lot to frame something well. We carry economy frames priced close to the box stores, and elegant luxury brands like Roma for the pieces that call for them. Whichever you choose, the frame is cut and joined right here in our shop.

The frame
Thousands of frame samples on the wall, including Roma and Larson-Juhl, from plain natural woods to ornate gold.
The mat
Over 300 mats in paper, suede, leather and linen. Every mat we use is acid-free.
The glass
UV-filtering glass, non-glare UV glass or museum glass, which is almost invisible.
Built in our shop
We cut the mat, cut and join the frame, mount your piece and close the back with a dust cover.

Custom Framed Mirrors Built, Delivered & Installed
We design and build custom framed mirrors for bathrooms, entryways, living rooms and offices across San Antonio. Each mirror is built to fit your wall, in a natural wood frame you choose from thousands of samples.
Framed bathroom mirrors are the ones we are asked for most: single vanities, double vanities and matching pairs. We also build oversized mirrors up to 110 x 60 inches.

We are a photo and canvas printing shop inside a frame shop. Bring a file on your phone or email it to us, and we print it here on Canon professional photo printers with pigment inks.
Choose from three photo papers, two fine art papers and three canvases. When the print is done, we can stretch the canvas or frame the print in the same shop.

The Frame Gallery is an art gallery as well as a frame shop. Every painting is painted by hand, with hundreds of choices on the walls and in the browsing bins: Tuscany and Mediterranean scenes, wildlife, flora, modern art and local paintings like the San Antonio missions and Hill Country bluebonnets.

Do I need an appointment to bring something in for framing?
No. Walk in any time we are open: Monday to Friday 11 to 6 and Saturday 11 to 5. We are closed on Sunday. Design help is free, and you choose your frame, mat and glass with us at the counter.

How much does custom framing cost?
Simple framing jobs, like a small print or photo, start at $99. Most diploma frames are between $99 and $499, and needlework starts at $149. The price depends on the size, the frame, the glass and the item. We carry economy frames similar in price to box stores as well as luxury mouldings like Roma.

Do you deliver and install mirrors?
Yes. The fee for delivery and installation depends on the distance and where the mirror is being installed. You can also pick up your custom framed mirror and install it yourself, and we will give you guidance on how to hang it.

We frame posters up to 40x60 inches, mirrors up to 110x60 inches and canvas stretchers up to 90x60 inches. Shadow boxes can be up to 16 inches deep. For anything larger, call us at (210) 615-8229.
